NO RESERVE…This is an ANTIQUE / Vintage circa 1940s Pan American Airlines Douglas DC-3 (DC-2 ?) Travel Agency Display Airplane…It is a HUGE 48 inch wingspan and made of wood with metal propellers , tailwheel, and base…It has markings on the bottom saying “Pan American Airways Display No. 131″….The airplane is definitely VERY old and I have never seen a display / travel agency model of this era…I do not know much about its history aside from that it was on display in a mans office in San Francisco for many years…It looks to have had some work / repair done on the tail surfaces and possibly on the bottom by one of the main wings (see close ups), but its done pretty well…The paint is still pretty good with crackling and scuffs from age…The metal propellers are complete with a slight bend forward on one blade…Though far from mint, it is still a very impressive and nice old aviation advertising item that really looks nice in person…If you seek mint looks elsewhere, but it is still a very nice old airplane and when have you seen one like it before?…Quite heavy…I will ship this in a wooden crate…Buyer Pays .
