ANTIQUE VINTAGE BRASS PAN AMERICAN DIRECTOR TRUMPET OR CORNET SERIAL 162491

ANTIQUE VINTAGE BRASS PAN AMERICAN DIRECTOR TRUMPET OR CORNET SERIAL 162491

ANTIQUE

We
have for your viewing and bidding pleasure an antique and/or vintage
musical horned instrument. We believe it to be a trumpet or possibly
a cornet. It is made out of brass metal. At the top behind the bell
it is marked 2 times PAN AMERICAN with a leaf design. On the brass
just before where the mouthpiece goes in it has the name DIRECTOR
with a star on each end. On the mouthpiece it is stamped VINCENT BACH
CORP 7C. The valves are numbered 1,2 and 3. On the 2nd
one it is stamped 162491 which we believe to be the serial number.
The valves are not stuck and they work freely. The 2 spittle release
levers are spring loaded and work well. The instrument plays well. It
measure close to 4 ¾” across the bell end. With the mouthpiece in
to the end of the bell it is 17 3/8” long. The brass shows an aged
metal patina with some wear, rubbing and denting. We have photoed
most of those areas. The instrument comes with a brown colored hard
plastic case which is lined in a soft velvet rust colored cloth and a
hard plastic handle for carrying. The case is in good condition
except for one of the metal feet is missing and there is a curved
crack in that area which we have also photoed. We are listing the
above useable and/or collectible instrument at a no reserve selling
price. So,thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
