We
have for your viewing and bidding pleasure an antique and/or vintage
CROSLEY radio. It is Model No. 52 and has the name and model at the
top front off left center. When you open the lid there is a gold
colored label on the top inside center which has CROSLEY RADIO
CORPORATION CINCINNATI, OHIO U.S.A.. In the 4th Edition
Collectors Guide to Antique Radio’s copyright 1997 it lists the
following information: Table, 1924, wood, low rectangular case, 1
dial black front panel, lift top, 3 tubes, battery with a price of
$115.00 to $135.00. We have photoed this strip of information out of
the Guide Book. We have also photoed the radios front, back, sides,
top and bottom and a couple of inside photos. There is one of the
tubes missing. The front center panel appears to be made out of
bakelite. The wood case appears to be made out of walnut. With the
radio we also have a bakelite and brass metal male jack with a wire
coming out of it. We are not knowledgeable enough to know what it was
used for. It fits in a female receptical to the lower right side of
the radio. Obviously it is missing a tube so it is not in working
condition at this time. The radio was obtained at a recent estate
sale in which the widow was dispersing of the late gentleman’s goods
after being in storage well over a decade. The radio measures 13 ¾â€
long by 4 ¾†wide and stands about 6†high. On 2 of the
components on the inside front right side of the radio it has the
name CROSLEY embossed on the top. Overall the cosmetic condition of
the radio is in good condition. We are listing this 88 year old radio
