RARE AND BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE SMALL CHILDS DRESS/COAT~VICTORIAN / EDWARDIAN ERA
COTTON PIQUE~LISTED FOR LARGER DOLL WEAR OR DISPLAY
This lovely piece has been beautifully fashioned from cotton pique with very detailed and lovely embroidered accents. This shows nicely on the collar, cuffs, and especially ornate above the hemline.Buttons are intact, they are a pearly shell. The age of this beautiful garment dates back to the 1800’s and yet its condition would be considered good in spite of the age related wear. There have been some repairs to the pique as can be seen in the first photo. Aside from that, there are a couple of small places where the cording of the pique has pulled apart and some faint age related rust/dust soilage. This is an authentic antique garment and will show some signs of its age. I do not repair or clean my items as most buyers do not want that.
This would be a gorgeous dress for reenactment, display, or to dress or alter for ones authentic era antique doll.
