An Antique 15ct Gold Ruby and Diamond Ring.
This extremely
pretty antique ring dates from 1864 and has an English hallmark that has the
makers mark, the Birmingham assay mark and the date letter but the carat mark
is rubbed. I have tested the ring and it tests as a higher carat, either 15 or
18ct gold. The ring has been resized during it’s 148 year history. The two Old
Cut Diamonds are in a sunken claw setting. The three rich pink Rubies are in perfect
condition with no chipping or surface scratches etc. They are uniform in
colour. To give an idea of the overall size the central circular cut Ruby measures 3mm
in diameter.
