I am so thrilled to offer this MASSIVE Antique Victorian 14ct Rose Gold GF Pocket Watch Locket ….. This is American and is hallmarked DUEBER…and is made by HAMPDEN DUEBER from Providence Rhode Island .
I have a particular liking of this locket as it is smothered with beautiful carvings on the front of swirls and beautiful Flowers and FOLIAGE on either side..The back has a little cottage engraved in the center with beautiful fine engravings surrounding it.. and is so ornate and so much attention to detail. The edges of the Pocket watch are repousse. It has a blank parchment style cartouche on the front that has never been engraved.
I AM INCLUDING ONE OF MY BELCHER LINK BOOKCHAINS AND THE TOTAL WEIGHT IS A WHOPPING 99 GRAMS ! THE CHAIN IS A THICK BELCHER LINK AND IS A BOOKCHAIN STYLE..IT IS VINTAGE BUT IN KEEPING WITH THE VICTORIAN STYLE. THE BOOKCHAIN MEASURES 63CM OR 24INCHES IN LENGTH.
It has a SERIAL number inside 6946780 for Circa 1889 on the HAMPDEN DUEBER serial catalog.
This originally housed a pocket watch as was a FULL hunter pocket watch but was removed many years ago and have used it as a Memento Locket.. This would hold some large mementoes..due to its great depth
.. Its so DEEP 1.4cm or over 1/2″ in depth you could store lots of things inside..
ITS 6.5CM OR 2 1/2″ DROP BY 5.3CM OR 2″ WIDE HOWEVER EVEN THOUGH HUGE .. IT LOOKS FABULOUS ON .. NOT GAUDY AT ALL.. WITH THE ROSE GOLD FILLED WATCH CHAIN they LOOK FANTASTIC TOGETHER..THIS .. AND WEIGHS A WHOPPING 99 GRAMS..
.This has no dings or dents.. . ITS AMAZING.. AND AN EXTREMELY RARE FIND DUE TO HAVING NO DENTS .AND SIZE AND PINK GOLD COLOR.. There is a bit of rubbing in a few spots on the outer edges but is consistent with its vast age.. and does not deter from its beauty in anyway
This is Antique pink rose gold hue..that deeper RICH pink so highly sought after.. The belcher link chain has a large bolt ring closure and the chain is a softer buttery rose gold.. some lights a more buttery yellow some lights more pink
The detailed case is crafted in a richly decorated Victorian Aesthetic style with flowers, geometric patterns . VERY ART NOUVEAU
