The head is approximately 12 3/8 inches long and the ends are 2 1/8 inches in diameter. The handle is 17 3/4 inches long overall and has some holes at the top for a wood peg to hold the head on. I firmly believe the handle is original and this tool exhibits some overall wear, discoloration and some splitting on the head but nothing that I would consider severe. The metal rings on the striking ends are a little loose but I do not see any owner markings. this is a nice original old tool that would make a great addition to any collection.
