Listing an Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine 8 day time and strike Mantel Clock in restored condition.
This model is called Leader from the early 1900s. The claw feet, lions heads, and column holders have all been restored to match. Black adamantine case with green marbleized trim has areas of repair with touch-ups. Case measures leg to leg 18 inches wide by 7 inches deep by 12 inches tall. Nice brass bezel with glass covers a 4 1/2 inch signed Seth Thomas dial with working fast/slow adjuster. Back wooden cover with brass access door to movement is original. Great original label on back.
The original model 4 1/2 Seth Thomas 8 day time and strike movement has been cleaned, oiled, rebushed where needed and tested. It runs great and keep excellent time.
Please note my definition of restored and yours may not be the same. Restored to me is making an old clock useful again keeping it as original as possible using whatever is available. I have been repairing and restoring antique clocks for 30 plus years and my goal has always been to make it run its best and look its finest with what I have to work with. Key and Pendulum not pictured will be provided.
