I am in the process of moving, so over the course of the next few weeks I will be listing several items including an antique pen and pencil collection that I had started years ago. I am by no means an expert, but will describe items as best I can and will gladly field questions.
This item is a Retractable Gold Dip pen. Handle is black, appears to me to be wooden, but could be black plastic or hard rubber. Not as cool to the touch as plastics are which is what makes me lean toward wooden. Chevron type pattern in the gold portion is visible. Does not have a maker’s mark or writing indicating gold content that I can find, but does not attract a magnet and is well crafted. A beautiful pen. Some visible wear on the nib holder end, took picture. Slider works well, fully retracts and fully extends. There are fine scratches on the wooden handle that can be seen with magnifying glass. No more than one would expect with careful use. There is no Nib with this pen. Nice craftsmanship.
Dip Pen Measures 5 1/2 inches fully extended (without nib) and 5 1/16 inches fully retracted.
