For your consideration is an old vintage/antique paper cutter that I believe would have been on the counter at the old town country/general store. I understand that these were used most frequently on butcher counters to hold the paper that would wrap the meat. This one is in pretty nice shape overall with the majority of the original paint still left on the cast iron frame. I believe the wooden piece that adorns the top is made of Oak. There is some ornate design on the base legs, sides and arms that hold the dull “blade” that would allow for the paper to be cut. I’m not sure what the original paper holding rod would have been made of, but I’ve fit an old brass guide rod from a filing cabinet in the slots and cut it to length and it seems to work well with the piece. Measures 24″ long by 6.5″ wide and 12″ tall. The base feet have holes in them for mounting. Overall a really nice piece that displays well with functionality. Thanks for looking and email with questions or if you’d like to see additional pictures I haven’t included.
