This is a rare original McCoy Letters Mailbox Wall Pocket. Fakes were made by those who would make molds of this form and subsequently the fakes were smaller in size than the original. This piece measures out to be a original, and there is really no denying it when you are well versed in McCoy pottery the fakes stand out like a sore thumb. This particular wall pocket is in with no chips or cracks. It is a beautiful piece to add to any collection. I have personally enjoyed it for years, and I am downsizing some of my collection now.
