Fine Antique Satsuma Saucer Dish
This is the finest piece of Japanese satsuma that I have had for a long time. The maker is Kizan, whose art production is the equal in quality to Meizan, his more prolific and
celebrated contemporary
The quality of this dish speaks for itself. The design of inwardly spiraling floral fields leads to a garden gathering of an important family playing with a toad. Condition is
excellent, no damages or repairs of any kind. I have photographed a tiny dark spot in the white bottom of the dish, a red mark at the edge of the dark blue designs on the back and
an area of very slight rubbing to the gilt edge of the dish . A great piece of Meji satsuma.
WIDTH 6 1/8 ( 15.6 cm )
