Antique Japanese Samurai Sword WW2 Shin Gunto OLD FAMILY BLADE SHINTO Katana

This is a GENUINE Shinto Era Japanese sword, mounted in WWII Shingunto mounts.
Blade: Beautiful blade, polish has faded but the blade is still quite sharp.
Shows tight itame hada and a vibrant midare hamon throughout the blade, with a big midare komi boshi around the tip. There are scratches and minor spots of oxidation, but no major kizu and no cracks. There is a chip in the edge towards the tip, but it is well within the hamon (pictures 9 and 10 show both sides of the chip / blade). Overall an excellent candidate for a professional polish.
Mei (Signature): Mumei (unsigned) o-suriage nakago. 1 meguki ana.
Fittings: Blade wears WWII shingunto mounts in . Silver button on the licking pin. Locking mechanism works intermittently, but everything fits together nicely.
Tsuka (Handle): In good condition, still wrapped with original ito, showing only minor fraying.
Saya (Scabbard): In with all lacquer intact and undamaged. Minor scuffs and scratches. Leather cover is gone.
