We are pleased to offer an old Japanese porcelain Imari bowl. This old Asian piece was part of an estate in Rhode Island that was connected with the shipping trade. This Arita porcelain bowl has Japanese ‘Imari’ decoration. Mark copying Chinese; Da Ming Chenghua Nian Zhi Meaning: “Great Ming Chenghua made†dates to the Taisho period (1913-1926) – (If I’m wrong, let me know & I’ll amend the listing). It is hand painted with Chinese good luck signs, styalized dragons, & geometric patterns in classic Imari colors. It is signed underglaze. The bowl measures 5 ¾†across by 2†tall. The condition is good (no chips, cracks, or losses) . We are starting this old oriental piece low with no reserve, so bid away! $1.75 is added for insurance to protect the buyer.
