This auction is for four separate pieces of antique circa 1920s trim. These have been salvaged from a Flapper dress. They are in a unique shade of iridescent bubblegum pink;the taffeta is fine, it is very slightly gathered on an old ivory mesh/net ground. The bottom edge is pinked. Note: Textiles were even pinked during the Victorian era. The fragments are all in very good condition with no rips, tears or stains, however, inherent with age and what silk tends to do, it has variation in shade throughout. Some areas are a bit darker than others. Although there is this flaw, it still has a lovely appearance and is authentic of the era. I would also like to note that the shade is not gaudy;if one likes the color pink, they will like this. It changes shade depending on what direction the trim is held. These were originally layered on top of one another in which it was a “V”-shaped panel inset into the bottom portion of the dress. This is being sold “As Is”.
Each piece measures approximately 15.5″ (two pieces), 16 1/4″, 15 3/4″ x 1.5″. This is a total of 63″.
