These KHOND SHRINE SCULPTURES originally have been used by the Tribal Village Population of remote tribal Areas of East India as a shrine ritual offering. They only used them during important annual festivals and ceremonies, otherwise kept hidden in a basket at home or in a house shrine.
This high aged GREAT KHOND SHRINE BRONZE consists of high quality metal alloy and shows a great stylized NANDI BULL with nice head and curved horns. The surface with some ribbed geometric patterns.
Superb smooth aged original darkened shrine patina !!!
Condition: great aged condition, wonderful smooth aged and darkened ritual patina, excellent signs of age and ritual use.
Age: 19th to early 20th century.
