Offered for your consideration is an Antique Grand Tour Bronze Japy Freres Crystal Regulator Mantel Clock w/ Griffins from a New York Estate.Beautiful Antique Grand Tour quality crystal regulator clock made using bronze with gold gilt details circa 1900.This is a magnificant clock and probably the best crystal regulator that i have had the pleasure to own has so many high quality details.The arched glass front and side is beveled crystal quality,incredible gold gilt over bronze corner fluted columns and griffins in the top pediment and is a nice size at almost 12" tall by 8" wide and 6.5" deep.The movement is French by Japy Freres 8 day time/strike marked A-1 in circle,Japy Freres in Circle,Made in France and serial number 7622 48.The clock has a simple white porcelain with roman numerals with a time and strike keywind and is working excellent ready for use.The pendulum is simulated mercury and i believe it to be an old replacement but cannot be sure and have correct key.Over all the condition is excellent;the beautiful bronze/gold gilt case retains the original patina from age,the crystal quality beveled glass is undamaged except for a tiny chip on the front door edge glass and 2 corner chips on the back which is not really noticeable(see last 3 photographs) and this clock is in excellent working condition ready for use!……..Thanks and Good Luck!
