ANTIQUE GEORGIAN CUTE BURL YEW WOOD 2 COMPT TEA CADDY c1790.

Its measurements are approx 7 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches high.

A very attractive little caddy in , say 9 out of 10. Externally fine burl yew wood with boxwood stringing to all corners, nice early carrying handle
to the lid top, lozenge escutcheon with the key working well in the lock. Internally a nice quality finish, with again burl yew wood panelling to the lid interior and
the two tea caddy lids with cute little handles, with boxwood to all internal edge details. The two tea compartment interiors seem to have been re lined, and as such could be used today for tea or whatever, as
its all in good condition. A George 111 tea caddy, nicely proportioned, nice quality, and looks lovely.

The box has been cleaned & wax polished, it looks smart & as such is very
presentable.
