Description
This is a superb unusual french pierced gilt bronze ormolu bracket mantel clock with caddy top dating to approx 1860
superb bracket design with stepped base and caddy top with original urn to top with removable lid and superb fancy intricate pierced front and sides all around with stunning red enamel on metal panels behind the pierced works which gives it an awesome display look, please look at the attention to detail to top fantastic quality and stunning display clock
original white porcelain convex dial with blue roman numerals & arabic numerals outside these with original gold fancy filigree french hands, the dial is protected by its bevelled convex glass front hinged door
clock measures 11 inches high x 7.75 inches wide x 4.5 inches deep
orginal french 8 day anchor escapement bell strike movement comes with its original brass pendulum and a new winding key
the movement comes in good working order keeping good time and striking the bell exactly when it should once on the half hour and counting the hours on the hour movement looks pretty clean
movement is signed with the japy freres medal stamp with serial number impressed of 8516

The clock is in great condition for age with no damage only very minimal wear a rare superb display bracket mantel clock with its original gold ormolu finish to bronze which looks amazing
the attention to detail is fantastic and it is an excellent addition to the serious collection and a superb investment
the original porcelain dial is in great condition for age
buyers have an option weather or not to have wooden crate custom made to protect thier valuable purchase through shipping, there will be a small charge of £15 per wooden crate to cover material costs but are well worth having to ensure safe delivery and will be fully insured from my door to your door if crate is used, please contact us to arrange this after purchasing

We source a lot of our clocks from private collections all over europe and from specialist clock fairs to ensure we continue to supply top quality antique clocks at affordable prices
Please note: All our antique clocks are tested in the workshop for a period of 8 days and working condition is described above, some clocks will work fine without problem, some will have faults but these will be clearly stated in the condition report above
All antique clocks no matter where you buy them from be it auction, antique shop, clock dealer, clock specialist, internet will need setting up properly, fine adjustment and setting into beat when moved and transported, there is plenty of information available on the internet to help you with this but if you have any problems at all then you can contact me and i can send you some information to try and help you, please note a confident clock person / specialist may be required
Packing & shipping
We pack all items professionally using plenty of packaging materials and custom made wooden crates where applicable to ensure all items are recieved in the condition they left us, countrys outside the uk shipping prices include a wooden crate, uk have an option weather or not to have wooden crate, there will be a small charge of £15 per wooden crate to cover material costs but are well worth having to ensure safe delivery
we will use professional couriers to transport the parcels from us to you and these will provide a full online tracking number so you can keep an eye on the parcel as soon as it leaves me
countries outside the e.u may have custom delays and customs charges import duties ect all of which i cannot control (please contact your local customs office to find out if fees aply to you) however, i will send all relevant customs forms and certificates with the parcels to minimise any delays as much as possible

We offer a guarantee on all our items for your piece of mind so if you are not completely happy with the clock when it arrives then all you need to do is pack it up safely and return it back to us to the address below in the condition you recieved it and we will issue a full refund to you excluding return shipping costs
