antique engraved STANLEY????

As found condition
no visible markings that I can see
which is very strange but this is definately early
look at the scroll work on the top
if you know what this is please inform
or let me know where to look for markings
the early stanleys had engravings that I do know
found in a very old tool shed
the wheel for placing the blade still works to replace or change blade
measure 7 1/4 length x 2 wide
the little wooden knob does have a slight crack in the wood
it also has an m or W marked into the wood
