ANTIQUE EAPG A.J. BEATTY BLUE OPALESCENT SWIRL TWO BERRY BOWLS

ANTIQUE EAPG A.J. BEATTY BLUE OPALESCENT SWIRL TWO BERRY BOWLS

ANTIQUE You are two rare piecees of A J Beatty & Sons that are true antiques dating back to the late 1880’s.  I believe these are berry bowls in the Beatty Swirl Blue pattern.  They measure approximately 5 inches across, 3 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches tall.  This pattern features opalescent blue glass rendered in a protruding swirl design.  One bowl has a tiny chip on the edge and some hairline cracks.  There is also a milky discoloration line on the bottom, along with another crack.  The other bowl is in much better condition – with only very minor “wear” scratches in the bottom.  Despite the conditions described, these bowls are in good to very good condition for their age.   I have placed the reserve price below actual value to reflect the condition problems of the one bowl.  This quality set would be a grand addition for the serious collector or for someone who truly appreciates its quality. The last photograph shows these bowls, along with 4 other pieces of matching Beatty Swirl which I will be listing for sale. Good luck bidding, and remember one bid buys both.
