Here’s a very fine collection of 3 quality antique corkscrews – 2 of them with brushes and hanging rings. The first pictured is a very nice old english example with a maple handle, nice patina, beautifully milled heavy steel shank, henshall button that grips the cork, brush and hanging ring; very desirable. The worm tip has broken off but it still retains 3 twists. The handle is slightly loose from years of use but it will not come off under pressure as the retaining nut is very firmly affixed to the shank. The second corkscrew is a very clean maple example with interesting raised ring turnings on the wooden handle and incised rings on either side of the shank – fantastic honey colored patina with brush and hanging ring. Like the first corkscrew, the handle is slightly loose but it also will not come off under pressure as the retaining nut is very firmly affixed to the shank. The third is a simple maple T-handle with a nice decorative shank.
This is an excellent opportunity for a very clean collection in one bid. I have a low reserve to ensure that I sell at a somewhat reasonable price – well below what the 2 with brushes alone should sell for. See my other auction for additional corkscrews. and handling is $10, signature required upon delivery.U.S. sale only and payment with Paypal only within 3 days of the auction close. Good luck and good bidding!
