we have a antique Chinese Shou Shan Jade Smiling Buddha Statue. The statue is in very good vintage condition, and was hand carved. This is carved out of Shou Shan Jade.

approx. 6″ wide 5″ deep and 2.5″ high (sitting on pedestal it is 4″ high)

Shou shan jade is a valuable stone produced from the gems mine located at northern Fu Zhou of Fu Jian province of China. The rock stone is formed by the volcano activities with natural colour and texture. it must undergo a series of treatment processes such as design, cutting, carving, sanding, polishing to make a beautiful and exquisite finished products.
