This is a no reserve listing for a finely carved antique Bruder Czapek of Prag meerschaum estate cheroot holder and its original protective case. Subject appears to be a sitting Mercury holding his caduceus (staff).
About 5 3/8″ long and 2 1/4″ high (without the case).
Beautiful. Exceptionally well carved. Chips on the left front edge of coloring bowl, left wing on helmet and upper left wing on caduceus (see pictures). Amber stem unscrews nicely and aligns properly. Minor bite impressions on stem. Case nomenclature: “Zeitnergasse No. 28/ Bruder Czapek/ Prag”. Case exhibits wear but is solid and opens/closes properly.
