Antique Art Deco 9ct Solid Gold Large Aquamarine Brooch c1920
This is for an antique Art Deco 19ct solid gold large aquamarine brooch, circa 1920.
The setting is made of 9ct solid gold, which is chiselled with a claw edge, and is set with a very large aquamarine. The aquamarine is very well cut, to an oval form, and measures 22 mm in length and 13 mm in width, with a table measurement of 16 mm by 8 mm, and has a good depth, with an estimated weight of 6.00 – 7.00 carats.
The aquamarine has an excellent water blue hue.
The overall condition is generally very good, the condition of the mount is excellent, the aquamarine has a chip to one side, visible on closer inspection. Please see images.
