Here is a Cool rare anvil
vise circa 1880’s!
This is a rare “3 holeâ€
mounting version with a covered screw!!!!
The details…
It’s got NICE Jaws
that are just about 3â€, maybe 2-7/8â€, which is also the width of the anvil… The
anvil is about 10-3/4†over all with the horn being 3-3/4†of that.
The Jaws
open 3-1/4†with the nut still fully engaged.
THE PIPE JAWS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE TOO
It is 15â€
overall in length when closed
The vise stands
5-1/2†tall
The
handle is straight and is
9†long and 9/16†in
diameter
THIS VISE
Weighs IN AT 24.2
lbs.
It features the early three
mounting hole pattern, and they are all in great shape!!!
It is a rare “covered screw†model too!
This anvil vise maintains
its original patina!!!
There are No
cracks or repairs, all original parts I took a lot of pictures, they tell the story better than
I do, and they are the major
part of the description, as I am not an expert.
If you have questions, please ask them.
I will be selling off some
of my collection over the next few weeks, so check out my other vises… thanks
