This antique Ansonia clock is the Louise model mantel clock. It is an eight day strike clock which is about 19-1/4″ hiigh, 11″ wide, and 4-1/4″ in diameter. It has a brass bezel, two key posts which the antique key which I feel is original fit well; blackk Roman numerals, and black decoratie hands. The clock paper face is lightly soiled – I do not know if it is original. There is a beautiful double mercury type pendulum which can be readily seen as it swings to and fro.. There is very slight loss of the lacy trim on the door which surrounds part of the bezel. The door closes secureThe reddish brown wooden? mahogany case has some wear on it with most of it on te bak. Thee is a tattered dicsolored label on te backstating “Prize Medal Awarded Paris Exposition 1888878 LOUISE STRIKE None genuine without this Trade Mark which is pictured. Below it is ANSONIA CLOCK COMPANY NEW YORK, U.S.A. This clock ha been running and striking properly. Please note all photos. I sell my clocks as is as I am not a clock expert.
