I am selling an old ABERCROMBIE & FITCH Omersa
leather elephant. The ears are huge, more like an African elephant. As well,
the leather itself appears older that those I see on today.
This magnificent beast measures 24†from
tip of trunk to tail, about 17†tall and about 9†wide at his widest. He was
owned by an elderly architect who had extraordinary art and objects and nothing
later than mid-century, most items much earlier.
One
white leather tusk is slightly loose if pulled on but it is attached pretty
well. This cannot be seen in any way. As you would expect there is generalized
scuffing but no tears or rips. It is a sturdy, solid, well packed older piece with
all the stitching tight.
