UP FOR AUCTION IS A SUPER NICE MASONIC 32 SWORD. THIS HAS A IVORY HANDLE. THIS SWORD IS OVER 100 YEARS OLD. THIS BABY STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL EDGE.
Offered
is an antique Masonic, Knights Templar, sword and scabbard. The sword
& scabbard decorations feature intricate Masonic, Knights Templar,
and classical Rocco designs. The center of the cross
guard shell has the Masonic 32 with inserted cross on the other side. The blade has faint
intricate engravings and decorations. Among them there is name of the owner “Y.K. MARKS”. The top scabbard
decorations features a twin lion on each side the guard. the top of the pomel has the templar knight helm with fitted with a lion. This antique sword show some
wear. There IS tarnish in most deep recesses, minor staining, and other
signs of light, general, use and aging. I will call attention to the
surface of the blade. It is not pitted or raised BUT is has some stains
& dark spots. I have NOT attempted any serious buffing or polishing.
Also, note there are some fine, tight,smooth, age cracks in the Ivory handle. It is solid & firm & I don’t the cracks go deep or
effect the handle in any way. There is a couple of small spots were the
scabbard plating is worn. Overall length is 36 inches. This really is still a nice antique sword for
use or display. Consider the overall condition & bid accordingly.
