This particular Antique Box has a Slide Top with 15 equally sized rectangular sections within. I do not know what this box was intended for or what was kept in this box, but it is interesting and in good condition.
This Wodden Box is of a similar construction as a Wooden Candle Box that was sold on website in December, 2010 for $31.55
Outside Measurements: 9 7/8″ long, 7 7/8″ wide, and 2 3/4″ depth.
Interrnal Measurements of each of the 15 sections: 2 1/4″ by 1 3/4″
Weight: 1 pound, 8 ounces.
Has indentation on lid for thumb to slide open.
Condition: Good. Some light corner rubbing and some smuges in areas. Missing 1 3/4″ of end corner bottom section of slide top – which cannot be seen when this box is closed (see the 5th picture).
