~ ANTIQUE 18 SIZE 15 JEWEL ILLINOIS LEVER SET POCKET WATCH ~ Here we have a nice antique 18 size 15 jewel Illinois lever set pocket watch. The watch is running strong and keeping time; it has just been cleaned and lubricated. It winds and sets (with the lever, pic 3) as it should. The serial number, 1260063 dates this old Illinois watch back to the year 1896. The dial has a couple of faint hairlines under scrutiny but still looks very respectable. The three part gold filled screw down case is good overall; however there is evidence of brassing, and the crown does show wear. The original mineral crystal has a crack right at the perimeter but is otherwise fairly clear. The case measures 53.75mm in diameter.
