An exquisite beaded jacket of satin crepe with glamorous ruffles of black Chantilly lace!
This wonderful black jacket has elaborate detail in the encrusted bead-work with the elegance of Victorian couture.
This wonderful black satin crepe jacket has 15 hidden hook-and-eyes for enclosure down the center front. The attractive and lucious lace and beading is a focal point of this glamorous jacket. Down the center is a marvelous ruffle of 3 1/2" Chantilly lace that flows up each side of the lapel and encircles the neck in feminine finesse. On each side of the Chantilly lace ruffle lies a one inch encrusted bead-work chain that loops back and forth flowing up the front on each side of the lace. A dramatic and gorgeous look that is incredible!
This Victorian jacket is longer in length and falls just below hip-line.
It almost has that vintage tuxedo look!
A double layered ruffle of Chantilly lace encircles the hemline for a 6" deep lacy romantic flair.
Center front near the hemline 1 1/2" round beaded medallions and 8 of these beaded medallions circle the hemline just above the Chantilly lace.
It appears that there are buttonholes on the inside — although they were never slit open and it is as if the seamstress changed her mind and put in hook-and-eyes versus buttons. (This is all hidden on the interior of the jacket). The exterior of this garment is superb! The interior lining of this garment is superb! It is so detailed with all the bead-work. One can hardly imagine all the tedious hours sewing all these beads on this exquisite Victorian coat. A rare and beautiful example of Victorian glamor at its finest!

This Victorian jacket is in near perfect condition. The Chantilly lace appears to be a deep chocolate blackish-brown, but looks fabulous! The beading is amazing. The interior is impeccable. I see no stains or hole in this marvelous Victorian creation! It is in near MINT condition, especially for being nearly 120+ years old.
