is an antique civil war era soda bottle. Hand blown cobalt colored bottle stands 7.5″ tall and measures 2.5″ across the base. Embossed on the front is “C.B. Owen & Co. Bottlers Cincinnati”. On the back is “C.B.O & Co.”. Whittle marks and air bubbles add to it’s character. Bottle retains most of the graphite on the pontil mark. It has nice bold embossing with very little case wear. This is an attic bottle that was not buried or tumbled. It looks like there’s a couple little nics on the letters T and N in the photos. I don’t really want to call it damage because upon close inspection it looks like it was the mould that had a defect. There are two tiny pinhead sized nips on the top of lip. Only mentioned for accuracy as they’re very hard to see. Nicely colored clean soda with no chips or cracks. I will be listing more bottles this week. Be sure to stop back and check them out.
