Adorable 1930’s Gold Mohair Chiltern Teddy + Easter Chick With Label No RESERVE

This auction is for the most wonderful old Chiltern teddy bear. She is a fairly big old girl at about 23", 60cm and I consider her to be in above average condition for her advanced years. She probably dates from around the early 1930's and has the lovely, typical Chiltern big nose stitching, She also has linen paws and feet pads and some of her original claws stitching. I think her eyes, although old are probably replacements as they are not stitched into place, but are loose on their metal wires.
Clever girl has managed to keep most of her pale golden mohair, although there are a few patchy places of wear, mainly to the top of her head, her ankles and some slight thinning to her arms. Her head joint is a little loose and will require some attention to prevent her head from wobbling too much. When she is moved, (gently please) I can just hear her now in-operitive growl mechanism inside.
What else to say about this precious old teddy? I say "precious" because I have given her the name as I know she was previously very much loved and deserves to become precious again to someone who really understands about and cares for fine vintage teddies.
Precious has a lovely vintage outfit which I gave her and I think, fits her and suits her well. She will leave here with just one of her Easter pals, the dear little Benson made chick. The lovely old rabbit in the sale. Both old bear and chick are in clean and fresh smelling condition and are staying here in a totally non smoking environment. Offered for sale without resreve. Postage is £8 in the UK and £12 to anywhere else.
