This is a delightful pair of large iron keys from the 18th century, or maybe even earlier. The larger one, with a really nice handle, is 12cm in length and the smaller 10cm, and this is the more complex design, as shown. Both have surface corrosion commensurate with age, but look splendid as display items.
Paypal is the preferred form of payment and there is no charge for this service. Personal cheques, postal orders and bank drafts are acceptable but these may delay shipment while funds are cleared. All payments must be in UK Pounds.
All goods will be very carefully packed and sent by first class post or airmail unless otherwise stated. The quoted cost of delivery includes a small allowance for packing material. We are pleased to discount this P&P cost for multiple purchases wherever possible and, if our P&P estimate proves to have been too high, we will refund any excess cost at the time of shipment. We are happy to ship almost anywhere in the world – if your country isn’t listed please request the P&P cost before bidding. Please also note that we have not included any costs arising from import duties, etc. upon entering the buyer’s country and these will be the buyer’s sole responsibility.
We have based our P&P estimate on the new Royal Mail prices coming in to effect on 30th April 2012 which have increased costs across the board, but particularly for smaller packages in the UK which have incurred quite a dramatic increase. Also noteworthy is the new, separate category for Australia and New Zealand which now have a slightly higher rate than for other countries.
We will refund the bid price if the item has a material defect not disclosed or obvious from the pictures of the item, or if the item is significantly different from the description given. To obtain such a refund the item must be returned within a reasonable time in its received condition. We ask buyers to leave feedback on receipt of the item so that we know it has arrived safely and will then leave our feedback for the buyer.
