2 GORGEOUS late 19th century Antique Copeland (spode) for Davis Collamore GOLD ENCRUSTED TURQUOISE PLATES
Markings: Base handpainted with "9779". Copeland China England in green. Davis Collamore & Co Ltd Broadway & 21st st New York in red.
This gorgeous set of cabinet plates was retailed by Davis Collamore & Co. Ltd, a prestigious 19th century importer of porcelain, pottery and glass that operated in New York City. Established in 1842, the firm of Davis & Collamore sold only the finest wares, and had a reputation for serving clientele from the highest echelons of society.
The beauty in these cabinet plates cannot be described in words nor photographs. Absolutely beautiful! Must have, must see, must everything!

There are no chips or nicks, but there is some aging on the plates, most apparant in the bottom, minorly on the top center – this often happens when plates are guilted so heavily in gold which causes mild stress fracturing. Please see all photos for detail on condition. Thank you.
