A 16 size ,15
jewel possibly grade 265 in
fairly Good condition, runs
and stops intermitently , not recently
serviced. Reliability cannot be
guaranteed
The 20 years
Gold filled Philadephia Open Face case
is # 8170205 . The case back
shows some wear from use and the
original engraved design is just barely visible,
there are no personal monograms or
dedications. There is wear through around the
case ring , bezel and crown.
The bow is OK. The
lids come on and off properly and
easily. There is a lever slot at the 1 position.
Inner case back has scratched in
initials
The glass
crystal is still clear, maybe a recent
replacement.
The single
sunk porcelain dial is signed
“Elgin” is nearly excellent with
only a tiny chip at rim near 7 and a very small
faint hairline at the 30 minute mark.
The blued steel hands are excellent with no
oxidation
The pendant
setting 15 jewel nickel Movement serial # 19,
154,543 runs then stops for no apparent
reason. It appears very
clean and features a wavy
concentric damaskeened pattern , gold jewel
settings, the balance wheel shows a very good
swing and poise on it’s
pivots.
