18th 18th Century Embroidery

Listed here is a wonderful embroidery of figures withing a landscape. There are trees, buildings and little dogs.

The scene is embroidered in coloured silks on a white cotton background. From the elongated shape of the material the embroidery may have been a mantle piece hanging.

The cotton has disintergrated in a number of places, the photographs show this clearly.

Length: 67″
