18S Joseph Johnson offset lever with fusee in sterling case

18S Joseph Johnson offset lever with fusee in sterling case

18S

Approximately 18 size  Joseph Johnson circa 1855 per London hallmarks which also indicates that the case is sterling. The crystal is heavily domed and has a crack all the way across it. The movement looks to be an offset lever with a chain driven fusee. The movement isn’t running but the balance is ok. It looks like the chain is unhooked from the motor barrel. The dial has some craze lines but is mostly free of chips except a small one near the center post. Watch needs cleaning .It probably hasn’t been cleaned for decades. The serial # is 10011. This watch is for parts or repair and is not returnable. Please check photos carefully.  Email me and I’ll do my best to answer them to your satisfaction. Thank you for your interest. Timemaster2k
