This is a legal discard from the Cincinnati Public Library. I had one of the heads of the “Friends of the Library” connected to the rare book department sign a statement that it’s a legal discard which is included in the sale. (see last pic) It has a very old catalog label on the spine and early bookplate, sign up sheet and card pocket on the endpapers and old oval library stamps on the copyright page and last page with pencil catalog numbers The covers and hinges are VG and the leaves are tightly bound. NO soiling, stains, marks etc. on the pages. The leather spine is scuffed but still intact and strong. The title page is starting to pull from the bottom gutter but is not frayed. There is a thin gutter gap between the title page and the introduction page. Also, the title page is slightly chipped where its inserted into the gutter at the bottom. (see all pics)
