18/SHamilton 940 Railroad Pocket Watch – Stem wind/Lever set, 21 jewel, beautifully damaskeened, adjusted 5 positions, motor barrel, serviced movement. Serial #908636 dates this movement to 1911. Heavy, Swing, silverine case makes this a striking watch. Case (marked “Deuber, Canton, O., Silverine), has normal carrying scratches, some light, tiny pinpoint pecks and a couple of light deeper marks. Original double sunk dial, with heavy numerals and red five minute markers, marked “Hamilton” has a tiny chip at the lever, a light hairline from it to the center sunk and a very faint hairline between the three and four. Heavy, tight bow -Crown shows light wear and thick glass crystal.Watch has recently been serviced and is keeping accurate time. Very nice one hundred plus, year old watch in nice condition, and ready to carry or add to a collection without the added expense of service. Any questions, please write.
