I am selling this superb Dutch silver miniature table circa late 1800’s for my Lady Friend from her recent acquisition. The magnificent scenery depicts a way of life during the period. There are (3) figures of people, (2) mounted on horses, one of which appears to be of nobility and one standing. In the foreground, a dog perhaps chasing the rider, a church steeple and township in the background with majestic mountains and foliage around. As shown in my images, there are (3) Hallmarks evident and are located on the top of the table. With what appears to be the letter “H” with a dot above. To the right, an elongated mark with a crown and (2) symbols directly below which I cannot distinguish. Lastly, below the rider’s foot another mark.
Measuring approx. 2-11/16″ in length, 1-9/16″ in width and 1-3/8″ in height. Wonderfully executed with detailed spiral legs and crossbars underneath for stability.Please Note: This miniature was in a previous auction without being Professionally cleaned & polished. Since then, my Lady Friend decided to have it Professionally cleaned to reveal it’s true beauty. I have added new picture images as shown. There are no issues to report as I see no damage or restorations. Many Thanks…
