Antique Red Handhooked Woolen Persian Prayer /Small Throw Rug

this week is this very pretty Antique Red Handhooked Persian Prayer / Throw rug. Size is 29 1/2″ x 46″. It is in good condition, with some age related wear. When observing the rug, the most visible wear is to the fringe, where it is very short in some areas I’m sure to many years of being vacuumed. Little bit of wear on the side edges. Surface color and condition looks great, when down on the floor with it, you can feel more wear in the center, and more plush on the outsides, more evident to the fingers upon feel, but not so evident to the eye.I am NOT an expert at these rugs, so do not know the proper name for the design, nor the exact country of its origin, however I do know it is very old and has worn well for it’s age. The design features floral and laurel patterns, with a few paisley type swirls , identical mirror image on both left and right sides of the rug.Colors are mainly the softly aged red background with navys and light beiges. The rug is CLEAN, and ready for use, I washed it myself and it came out beautiful. This is a GREAT collectible rug, in wonderful vintage, useable condition. I love when these rugs show a little wear like this, makes you wonder the history that goes along with it over so many years. It has been a well loved rug, and you will love it too.

· I only charge actual shipping plus a minimal amount for packaging bubbles, etc. If I have missed on a weight of an item and by chance you see that it is more than $2 over what I charged you, please contact me for a refund of the overage- I try to keep an eye on that and refund any overcharge I come upon, but by any chance I have missed, PLEASE let me know.
