For sale is an Antique Emil Busch Rapid Aplanat No3 10 Inch Brass Lens For Wet Plate Camera. Lens was made in 1890. Engraved on barrel- “Busch Rapid Aplanat No 3 Foc.10 Roja Vorm Emil Busch Rathenow”. This is a sharp lens with good brilliance, suitable for landscape, architecture, group, portraits etc. Lens will cover 8×10 inches or more. Glass is of quadruplet design, doublets in front and back. The front and rear surfaces have few faint cleaning marks the rear surface has two or three light nicks, but all in all glass is in pristine condition considering its age of more than 100 years. The brass iris diaphragm open and close smoothly. Lens measures- 2½ inch height; 2 inch front dia; 44mm flange id. Lens comes with a smaller sized brass flange. Taking pictures with  old 100 years old brass lenses is certainly more exciting than the  common slr lenses.
