This is a RARE SUPERIOR EARLY example of a signed Hamburg American German Wall Clock in 100% all original condition. Also this is one of the nicest clocks we have seen. It was made in Germany circa 1880. German clocks were the best made in the world. The Hamburg American clocks in our collection have kept great time and have run reliably for many, many years. This particular model is in SUPERIOR LOOKING AND SUPERIOR RUNNING condition. (Runs like new with a very wide pendulum swing!)
The clock has the original finish with very beautiful construction. Is all original. Even the bottom glass is wavy and original. It has a Hamburg American 3 day time and strike movement which works perfectly. It has run over 2 days on the test wall and still has some more to go, the clock is very easy to wind. The movement runs very well and keeps good time.
This clock is measures 31†high, 12†wide and 6“ deep. The signed dial is original and in super condition. (See picture). The case is in very good condition! Has a few very old repairs, looks great! This clock strikes the hours and the half hour it original great sounding gong. The pendulum is original and in great condition – comes with a new key to wind it with. Has its original crown and the rare original acorn finials.
These antique clocks amaze me – could you imagine any other consumer product still working perfectly after 50 years! And the truly amazing thing it is ready for the next 100 years, and will probably run indefinitely with a little tender loving care.

You will become attached to your antique clocks and they will become a meaningful and important part of your life adding untold joy each day you own them. They can be handed down from one generation to another as they increase daily in value. Antique clocks serve many purposes other than being useful in telling time, decorative in your home, a valuable asset in your estate and above all a faithful servant and friend which will be true to you to the end of time.
This clock will be packed VERY CAREFULLY to insure a safe delivery and the buyer is to pay $28.50 for shipping and ins. This clock will require an oversize carton and lots of packing materials to insure a safe delivery. International is exact charge. I will gladly answer any emails promptly. I have always hated that “reserve” when I have so this fine clock has no reserve with a very, very low (gulp) starting bid. We love these clocks and I will be glad to help you set up your new clock, or answer questions long after the sale via email.
