This is an Impressive old wooden 3-dimensional Relief Carved Piece of Hand Painted Folk Art featuring a Figural Landscape of a Pioneer with an Axe exploring a Mountain Valley. This old Piece of Folk Art Deserves a Spot in a Museum. The majority of the piece has been carved in relief by hand from the back board with a few wood carved rocks added at the base spilling over the frame causing a unique 3-dimensional effect. This piece looks to date to at least the Turn of the last century and Displays like a Museum Quality Piece of Folk Art.
