Here for auciton is a beautiful old Yomud Turkoman tentband fragment probly
woven around the 1850’s – this date is due to the blue/green color which the
Yomud dyers used at this time and was lost soon after. This is one end of the
complete tentband (which would have measured 40′-45′ long) and the fragment
is in excelent condition. These older pieces do not show up very often as they
were generally used until they were completely worn out.
   A truely collectable antique turkoman weaveing.
