Very scarce Edison Projecting Kinetoscope mechanism made circa 1911. It measures 14” tall and weighs 25 lbs unpacked.
This is a very nice clean unit. It cranks nicely and the lens is in excellent shape with no optical issues and focuses smoothly.
There are no broken parts. The crank was welded with brass on the end where it attaches to the projector. The repair was done very nicely and a very long time ago. Aside from this there are no repairs.
The shutter blade is made of aluminum and it shows typical bending and some dents. It is hard to find an aluminum shutter blade that doesn’t have these issues.
When packing the projector I will remove the crank, shutter, framing rod and a few other small parts to prevent the possibility of them being bent during shipping. The projector will be VERY well packed to ensure safe arrival.
