huge bulbous brown glass eyes, closed mouth, pierced ears with original antique earrings, original brown human hair french wig, antique cork pate, wearing original cream colored silk dress with matching hat. antique french brown leather shoes marked A P modes deparis 08, original french stockings, undies and bloomers.
condition: stable hairline about 1 1/2″ long on left back side of neck (see photos) red straw line done at making of doll in the middle of eyebrows coming down to top of left eyebrow(about 1″) very light red & tiny (about 1/2″) red straw line at bottom of neck below markings of 11 – tiny chip in rim very stable with no hairlines back of head marked B 11 F
clothing: original cream color silk dress very frayed all over – pink silk ribbon and bow in front – dress still displays beautiful but frail – matching bonnet has fraying in back very lovely – original undies- slip has some age marks & pink undies. original french cream stockings, original brown leather shoes marked A modes P Deparis 08. french composition bebe body is nice – all fingers – hands have old chipping and some old repaint.
this beautiful and rare french bebe came from the rosalie Whyel doll musuem in Bellevue Washington. Musuem has since closed. she is really a spectacular and rare antique french bebe and one that you will treasure forever.
