Antique German All Original 5″ Mignonette Style Doll Bisque Head with compo body. This is a really nice little German doll with a bisque head and a composition body. She has a bisque swivel head on a 5 piece compo body and is wearing her original clothes. The head is in perfect condition with no hairlines or chips and has blue sleep eyes that open and close nicely. She has NO wig and no pate. The eyes are a bit offset and could probably be fixed easily by a doll restorer. She also has a missing right hand on her compo arm ( see pic 9). She is wearing her all original ensemble of a French style ruched burgundy silk dress with silk ribbon & French lace trim with a matching bonnet. The dress is sewn on and her stringing is a bit loose- I did not want to destroy the originality of her costume to restring her. Her shoes are yellow and painted on with black socks with a red stripe edge at the top. A very nice doll that with a little bit of TLC, could be just fabulous.
